Abstract : Applications of superconducting technology in transportation is more straightforward than others, such as magnetic levitation (maglev) trains. A maglev train is of high speed & low power-consumption, environmental friendly and safe, accompanied by some drawbacks. This article will introduce the application of superconducting technology in the urban mass transport system, and the bottleneck of this application.
